To whom it may concern

Delfi, Malmö, curated by Filip Vest

2019

Performance as part of the group show “Volymer”, where 8 artists were invited to work within and from deconstructed bookshelves. The show sought out to investigate the relationship between the body and books, and how knowledge can become imbodied.

My piece was a handwritten letter, read while standing on top of a pedestal of books I had used for inspiration. The letter was written to an unknown other - the viewer of the piece, and dealt with questions surrounding intimacy, empathy and the anarchy of artist books and how all art can be seen as a form of letter – something personal which only lives through trying to reachsomeone else.
